Dinner in the Dirt-Jacksonville Exhibition - Nov 18 2005 In April, 2005, my instructor, Diego Bravo, invited me to participate in this event.  It draws huge crowds and household names like Pat Parelli, John Lyons, Pony Boy and many others.  From the beginning, I listened with awe as Diego told me how he and his Trote horse, Emperador, would be riding among the diners at the platinum plate banquet opening night.  How great it must be to attain such confidence as an equestrian!  To ride between the tables of such top drawer dignitaries while they dine on linen table tops. Opening night arrived.  My face probably turned as white as linen when Diego began to describe how WE would be riding among the diners.  As I saw it, best case scenario was, dinner in the dirt would fast become dirt in the dinner!  I kept saying to myself "a little stage fright is a good thing."  But here we are!
